很久没听Greenday的歌了,翻出了他们的American Idiot,同时联想起西方媒体的愚民政策,中国媒体的统一口径……

又是一个The Next Great American Band上的乐队,主唱(小提琴),加一把吉他以及一把曼陀林,造就了一种独一无二的风格。
海选时他们的那首原创让我感到了一丝的新意,3个人的原声乐队竟然也能够演绎出如此丰富的情感。即便如此,还是觉得略微单薄了些,也拿不准他们究竟能走多远。直到那次翻唱滚石的那首“Gimme Shelter”,电吉他加上曼陀林和吉他的配器让我眼前一亮,开头的迷幻就已将我深深吸引,整首曲子一气呵成,听得我浑身发毛,恰到好处的表现出了歌词中的意味,此时才感觉到,这是一群强悍的哥们~而这首他们所翻唱的曲子也是至今我最喜欢的一首由他们翻唱的歌。
后来不出所料,冠军非他们莫属,他们的音乐天赋和技巧把我所征服,原来曲子可以这么编!
和声范围内这么多的不和谐音也有如此强烈的表达效果,从此对编曲的理解又高了一个层次~

顺便推荐一个乐队:The Likes of You,在The Next Great American Band中十进八强被淘汰的一个乐队,但是他们改编的Blowing in the wind的确很激励人,演奏的也很有自信,主唱的假声更是出神入化。Original很好听,比较有流行的潜力。不足之处在于乐队整体感不强(如评委所说),编曲上缺乏创新,要变得outstanding还尚需时日~

现在不想写论文,就先把这个写了吧……
最近受Fallout推荐,抽空看了看The Next Great American Band(美国超级乐队)这个节目,感慨于中美现代音乐的差距。
中国的地下乐队总以另类自称,而且自认为另类的东西是最新、最好的,殊不知真正经典的东西并不是那些所谓的另类的形式。曾经看到有人说过,中国那么多乐队有谁能编出像Eagles的Hotel California开头和结尾的那段一样那么经典的solo!再看看John Lennon的Imagine、Power to the People,或是Michael Jackson的Heal the world,或是Bob Dylan的Knock on Heaven’s Door之类等等,昔日的巨星征服别人的不是其他,而是一颗真诚的心和信念,The wish of a better world, and they try to express it using their music, that is the soal of Rock’n Roll.
暂且撇开本质上的东西,节目The next great American band目前淘汰的结果来看,真正能吸引观众和评委也是那些有着足够音乐技巧的乐队,而所谓的另类乐队恰恰是在用他们的形式来掩饰本身技巧和理念的不足,让人感觉毫无内涵可言,花俏的只能让人骂一声:Rubbish!
虽然不是名人,也不是经典的乐队,but they also taught me a lot,从The Clark Brothers身上惊叹于乐器的表现力,Denver and the Mile High Orchestra学到了爵士乐的配器,更感慨于Light of Doom的那群孩子们的天赋,和Sixwire中自然流出的音乐的感觉,尤其是Cliff Wagner and Old #7看到了兰草音乐的诙谐和淳朴,更让我有机会去了解班卓琴和曼陀林的演奏指法,好一个丰盛的音乐大餐~
该回头工作了,就写这些,昨天把土耳其进行曲的指法好好练了下,还通过回忆扒了一点点右手的谱,音乐总是在我最需要的时候出现在我面前,带给我了激情,也带给我了宁静,music is always the things I love.

想着自己快二十了,于是今天又听了这首歌,有了新的体会。
听过如此多歌手的歌,还是BEYOND的最能够触动内心深处的共鸣……

After having listening to this record for near a month, I think I should write something about it.
It’s a record without much criticism of society, not like last record “太平盛世”. In this record, we can see many love songs because he just wanna to tell us that there are so many beautiful things in our life, but most of us do not pay enough attention on them.
It really give me a new angle to think of our life. Beside this, the method he used in organizing each song was excellent, he show me a new way to make our own music.
The first song called “can’t get you out of my mind” is recomposed of an old song. A new organization show us a new style.
Songs like “too beautiful” is organized with a simple style. Simple is a kind of fair too.
In the song “forever”, he singed in hysteria, and he never sang like this before, however, this style fit the song very well.
“marry me today” use an old tune, but the organization of the song is western, it show us a scenery in marrying in western countries.
“the chase” begin with a latin style, “walk on” join fenk and rock together……There are so many brightness in this record. Although without much criticism, this record show us that there are many things to learn in music, and criticism is not the best way to solve the problems.
